Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

It's such a crazy time of year, so be sure to take a step back and really enjoy what is going on every once in a while. I know I have to remind myself of that often.

I've been running around like crazy, but I really do enjoy giving. I usually shop last minute because I cannot wait to give a gift. I also have to do double duty for my son this time of year. Poor little guy has a Dec. 20th birthday.

Well, here is a virtual card for everyone and I hope you all have a wonderful holiday!! Thank you to all my clients for your support in my venture. It's great to have the opportunity to pursue something you love.

I'm looking forward to the new year and I'm already in the works of planning some great limited edition mini sessions and reworking my pricing a little. I will keep everyone posted!

Deals for you

I wanted to post a little bit about my referral program. Although I would hope that you just want to tell everyone because you absolutely love your portraits, I would like to reward you for it!

Along with your order from your session you will receive a set of personalized rep cards. Pass them out to everyone you know. For each person that books and completes a session with me, you will get a $25 credit towards your next purchase. They will also get a free set of wallets with their order. It's win-win!

November is coming to an end.

Well, I have to get better about updating this thing. I got around to testing out my "Waiting for Santa" theme with my kids today. I need to add a little more to the tree and such, but you can get the idea. I love kids in their pj's!

While I was all set up and had some captive children, I took some portraits of them that I've been wanting to do for a while. I'm definitely ordering some Christmas gifts for myself with these! Maybe a new bag and some jewelry. We'll see how good I have been!

I am loving this weather so far. This is about as cold as it ever would get down in Sarasota, and that would not be often. I know it may seem crazy to like it chilly, but I was just sooo sick of the heat. This is also my first winter up here, so we'll see how much I actually like it in a couple months.

Right around the corner...

Thanks to everyone who came out and got their little one's pictures done at this year's Trick or Treat Street event. I had a great time and there were so many adoreable and creative costumes. Congratulations also to the costume contest winners!

Here are some pics of my little Mickey and Minnie on my Halloween set.

Time is flying! I can't believe Thanksgiving is around the corner. I even already saw that Santa was at the mall today! If you are looking to get a session done before the holidays, please contact me soon. After your session and the pictures are edited, I can usually get your prints to you within a couple days of ordering.

I really love making cards. Please check down the blog for the post with this year's holiday card templates. The text on these can be completely customized.

New portrait party themes!!

I have been brainstorming and have come up with some theme ideas for portrait parties to take us through the end of the year.

First, hear is a little more background on the parties: Get your friends and families together to get professional portraits taken in a laid back setting, your home or location of your choice. The host/hostess recives a free portrait package and additional discounts based on sales from the party. The attendants get to make a reservation to have portraits done with no session fee and no commitment to buy! The requirements to book your party are a guarantee of five and no more than ten families to participate and some space for my mobile studio (if indoors). Each family gets a 20 minute block for their session with their paid $25 deposit. (deposit goes towards print credit, which is refundable if no prints are purchased) Please contact me for further information.

I will be coming up with theme ideas for each month. However, you are welcome to come up with your own. Upcoming themes are:

Celebrate Fall: Outdoor party. Why take Fall portraits inside a stuffy studio with fake leaves and plastic pumpkins when you can get your Fall pictures done outside in the fresh air and leaves! Pick a spot with lots of colorful foliage and get your friends together for a fun day celebrating the season.

Cuties in Costume: Inside party. Get portraits made of your little ones in their costumes. Everyone at the party will recieve a free personalized Halloween-style 5x7 just for attending.

It's not too early to begin thinking about the holidays. Beautiful holiday cards and gifts can be made from your session, so take a chunk off your seasonal to-do list and get everything done at once! Here are this year's holiday themes:

Fireside Families: Inside party. (fireplace setting required) Take your holiday Christmas portraits in front of the warmth and crackle of the fire. Great for the entire family! BYOS: Bring your stockings to hang on the mantle to further personalize your portrait.

Waiting up for Santa: Inside party. Get your little ones dressed up in their special holiday pj's for a portrait done while waiting up to sneak a peak of the man in red. (I know I'm not the only one that gets a special pair of Christmas pj's for my kids every year!) The setting will include a Christmas tree, armchair and side table complete with milk and cookies. Your little ones will be "waiting up" while reading a favorite Christmas story. Feel free to bring some special ornaments to hang on the tree to further personalize your portraits.

A Peek of Santa: Inside party. Do you hate trucking everyone to the mall each year for Santa portraits only to face long lines and scared or grumpy kids? Take the stress out of meeting Santa when you put on the costume yourself. Your little ones will be happy to hold hands and give hugs to the big guy when it is you playing the role. Only your costumed midsection and hands will be included in the pics. Great for newborns and babies!

I am getting everything together and will be shooting the holiday examples soon, so check back. Also, within the next couple days I will be posting my 2007 holiday card templates.

Book your party today! Holiday party reservations can be made as early as September.

First post, yay!

Welcome to the new Tiny Miracles Photography blog! I have been meaning to start blogging for a while now, but I just never got a chance to do it. I love reading other photographer's posts on their sites. Our family just moved up to Knoxville, Tn, so I figured now is a good time to start. It's hard to move to a whole new place and start over, but we are loving it here so far.

Since I am new to town, I am looking for some great scenic locations. However, I need your help! If you can recommend some places, I will give you a special offer. Please email me at tinymiracles@mac.com with your suggestions.

I've got some great themed portrait party ideas that I will be hosting to get business rolling up here, so stay tuned and I will post them to see what kind of interest there is.

I will try my best to keep this blog up to date with news and samples of recent photo shoots, so please check back!
